چکیده
One thousand six hundred day old poults were randomly divided into four pens of 400 each. Twenty-five percent the birds in 3 and 4 inoculated orally, with Eschericia coli (E. coli) 0111ab. Ten pen 2 inoculated, intratracheally 10°EIDso Newcastle disease virus (NDV), A1.315/12 10 (previously exposed to E. 0111ab) also NDV. A total 19 0111ab recoveries, was made out 200 that 4. Sampling liver superior sampling either caecal junction or yolk sac E recoveries. Airsacculitis first observed dying at weeks age, but severity lesions maximum 7 age. High mortality morbidity commercial farms epizootics concurrent infections NDV, not this study.

Experimental Infection of Turkeys with A Virulent Newcastle Disease Virus Isolated from Broiler Chickens
Newcastle disease (ND) is a highly contagious infection of many avian species, mainly chickens and turkeys, with a devastating impact on worldwide poultry production. The ND accounts for heavy losses in Iranian poultry flocks. There are some reports regarding the epidemiology of this infection in Iran. This study was performed to investigate the infection of turkeys with a Newcastle disea...

Avian pneumoviruses (APVs) are RNA viruses responsible for upper respiratory disease in poultry. Experimental infections are typically less severe than those observed in field cases. Previous studies with APV and Escherichia coli suggest this discrepancy is due to secondary agents. Field observations indicate APV infections are more severe with concurrent infection by Newcastle disease virus (N...
متن کاملNewcastle disease virus infection of L cells.
Newcastle disease virus (NDV) California strain reportedly grows poorly in L cells but replicates very well in chicken embryo cells. NDV-infected L cell cultures show a characteristic virus growth curve with respect to uridine incorporation, but plaque assays of the virus produced 24 h postinfection (PI) show no infectious particles when assayed on L cell monolayers and only a very low titer on...

Exotic Newcastle disease virus (NDV) isolated from chickens during the 2002-2003 California outbreak (CA exotic Newcastle disease [END] virus) was inoculated into 4-week-old specific-pathogen-free (SPF) White Leghorn chickens, 3-week-old SPF Beltsville White turkeys, 6-week-old commercial Broad Breasted White turkeys, and 10- to 20-week-old racing pigeons, and the clinicopathologic features of ...

This study was designed with the goal of adding as much information as possible about the role of pigeons (Columba livia) and chickens (Gallus gallus) in Newcastle disease virus epidemiology. These species were submitted to direct experimental infection with Newcastle disease virus to evaluate interspecies transmission and virus-host relationships. The results obtained in four experimental mode...
